Wanda Sue Cater Pierce, 67, of Monticello, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday, November 11, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born October 27, 1957, in Drew County to the George Muril Cater and Anna Bell Hansaker Cater.
Wanda was an Assembly of God pastor. She loved helping people, preaching, church, and attending church activities. Wanda also loved to travel. But most of all she loved her family and sitting on porch with them watching the birds and squirrels. She also enjoyed going to Branson.
Wanda is preceded in death by her father, George Muril Cater.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years whom she loved dearly, Roger Pierce of Monticello; three daughters, Hollie Wardlaw (Marty Lee) of Hermitage, Christy Williams of St. Louis, Mo., and Mandie Marlar (Mikah) of Hot Springs; one son, Thomas Pierce (Jordan) of Texarkana, Texas; her mother, Anna Bell Cater of Monticello; one brother, James Cater of Monticello; grandchildren, Alex Wardlaw, Caitlyn Wardlaw, Jamison Williams, Anthony Williams, Bailey Long (Spencer), Nicole Luchtenburg (Wyatt), Hunter Pierce, Wesley Carter, Alexis Carter; one great grandchild, Jasper Pierce; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 13, 2024, from 6-8 p.m. in the Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will be Thursday, November 14, 2024, at 10 a.m. with Brother Bobby Spencer, Rev. Jim Bales, and Rev. Mike Ragan performing the services in the Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. Pallbearers will be Kevin Martin, Phillip Jones, Marty Lee Wardlaw, Alex Wardlaw, Terry Fortenberry, and Edward Dennis. Burial will follow in Pleasant Springs Cemetery in Monticello.
