2nd Chance Fur Dogs and MPD help give dog a new lease on life

According to the Monticello Police Chief, Carlos Garcia, on January 23,2023, the police department received a call from Animal Control Officer, Ray Garrison, regarding a dog tied to a tree at the residence of  Jermaine Kincade,34, and Jasmine Lewis,33, of Monticello. The animal was transported to veterinary for evaluation and treatment. They were both charged for Animal Cruelty and were found guilty on September 21, 2023. Both individuals will have to pay $2,140.55 in veterinary restitution and fines. The dog was named Daniel and has been adopted by a family in Massachusetts, thanks to the 2nd Chance Fur Dogs Organization of Monticello
