Baptist Health Medical Center-Drew County (BHMC-Drew County) is thrilled to announce a generous donation of $21,000 from the BHMC-Drew County Auxiliary team.

This significant contribution was presented during the Annual Auxiliary Luncheon held at the hospital on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.

The donated funds were utilized to enhance patient care and staff appreciation at BHMC-Drew County. Specifically, the donation facilitated the purchase of new bright pink wheelchairs, which will provide much-needed assistance to our patients. Additionally, new gifts were distributed to all staff members in celebration of Hospital Week, recognizing their unwavering dedication and hard work.

During the luncheon, BHMC-Drew County took the opportunity to honor five exceptional members of the Auxiliary team for their longstanding commitment and service to the facility. These remarkable individuals are:

  • Ira Watkins – Over 15 years of service
  • Bobbie Everett – Over 15 years of service
  • Shirley Kizer – Over 20 years of service
  • Regina Dunn – Over 20 years of service
  • Norma Houge – Over 25 years of service
