The Monticello Billies 2023 Season came to an end on Thursday, May 4, in the first round of the 4A South Regional Tournament held in DeWitt to the number one seed from the 4A-7, the Nashville Scrappers.
Nashville would score five runs in the first, one in the second, five in the third, and one in the fourth to take the 12-0 run-rule victory and advance in the tournament.
Monticello would not record a hit in the contest going 0-14 from the plate with four walks and were struck out 11 times in four innings.
The Billies end the season with an overall record of 15-11with a fourth place finish in the conference standings.
