The University of Arkansas at Monticello has punched their ticket to postseason play, having clinched a birth in the Great American Conference Championship Tournament.

The Weevils are currently sitting in second place in the conference standings, having the same record as Harding University, who the Weevils swept earlier in the season.

UAM got another series sweep this past weekend, taking three games from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.

Playing in a double-header on Friday, the Weevils would need to get walk offs in both contests to claim victory.

In Game One, the Weevils and Bulldogs were knotted up 7-7 heading into the bottom of the ninth inning when Parker Dorrance connected for a double to score Aiden Garrett for the 8-7 win.

In Game Two, the Weevils and Bulldogs were tied 2-2 heading into the bottom of the eighth inning.

Chaz Poppy would single to score Logan Jones for the 3-2 win.

In the final game of the series, it was a race against the weather in order to get in the required five innings with the Weevils taking the series sweep with a 6-0 win.

UAM will wrap up the regular season this weekend with a series at home with Southern Arkansas with the first game on Friday at 2 pm and a double-header on Saturday beginning at 12 pm.
