Daniel W. Garrison, Sr., 68, of Monticello, passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023, at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. He was born July 15, 1954, in Camden to the late Everett William (E.W.) and Mary Magdalene Wright Garrison.
Daniel was a retired truck driver and a former auxiliary policeman for Lake Village. Daniel was an ''Environmental Recycler'' where he drove the roads of southern Arkansas hauling scrap. 

He also loved to watch old western movies. He attended the Pentecostal Church where his faith was very strong. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by siblings, Dorothy Bowell, Sherry Frank, twin brother Gerald Wayne Garrison, William (Bill) Garrison and Marvin Garrison.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Weaida Abernathy Garrison of Monticello; his children, Daniel Wilson Garrison, Jr. (Kristin) of Monticello, Scotty Garrison (Misti) of St. Joe, Ariz., Jarrod Garrison of Monticello, Kimberly Danielle Garrison and Tyler Hays both of Monticello; two brothers, Ray Garrison of West Monroe, La. and Derrell Finley of Semmes, Ala.; 17 grandchildren; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with burial in Union Ridge Cemetery. There was a visitation from 2-3 p.m. Thursday preceding the funeral service.
