Emma Jean Miller, 65

Emma Jean Miller was born February 11, 1958, in Longview, to the late Joe B. Miller ''Buck'' and Margie Phillips Franklin. She was the sixth of ten children. She departed this life on October 15, 2023, at her home in Lacey.
Emma was a member of the Promise Land Baptist Church in Lacey for many years until her passing.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by four brothers, Joe L. Miller, George H. Miller, James R. Miller, and Roger L. Miller; three sisters, Claudia K. Miller, Leslie M. Miller-Brock, and Marilyn D. Franklin-Suber; two sons, Deternis L. Veasey and Deterris A. Veasey; and one granddaughter, Makaylia N. Franklin.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Karissa Veasey of Dallas, Texas; three granddaughters, Jimanda Terry-Brown of North Little Rock, Jabreonia Veasey of New Albany, Miss., Kaylen Franklin of Dallas, Texas; one grandson, DeMarcus Veasey of Monticello; five great-grandsons, Jaden Terry, Marion Brown, Marcus Brown, all of North Little Rock, Eli Veasey of Monticello, Jonah Simpson, JR. of New Albany, Miss.; two great-granddaughters, Janiyah Terry of North Little Rock, and Makyla Veasey of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Irene Miller Of Monticello; three brothers, Charlie Miller (Thelma), Tommy Miller, and Ephran Franklin (Kimberly) all three of Monticello; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation was Friday, October 20, 2023, from 5-7 p.m. in the Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. A home-going celebration was held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. Burial followed in Longview Cemetery in Lacey.
