The Drew Memorial Health Foundation will host its annual golf tournament Friday, April 8, at the Monticello Country Club Golf Course.
This year, DMH has found a way to incorporate those who are not so inclined to swing a golf club. Pafford Air One will be in the sky and at 1 p.m. At that time, the helicopter will release golf balls from the air onto the course. The balls that land closest to the designated targets will win a cash prize. The five targets are sponsored by CPS, $1,000 cash prize; Cerner, $250 cash prize; Nutrien Solutions, $250 cash prize; Commercial Bank, $250 cash prize and Union Bank, $250 cash prize.
Balls can be purchased by contacting Stephanie Norris with DMH at 870-460-3539. You do not have to be present to win.
“The purchase of a golf ball is tax deductible because Drew Memorial Health Foundation is a non-profit organization and all proceeds from this event go back to the foundation,” Norris said.
The benefit tournament has been a tradition since 2014. This year, the tournament has 36 teams of four players signed up to compete.
