Harold Wayne Frasure, 74, of Leslie, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at his home. He was born March 30, 1949, in Jonesboro to the late Harold Frasure and to the late Helen Conery.
Wayne was of the Baptist Faith.
After high school, he went to college at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He had to take a break from college because he was called to serve in the Navy as an electronic technician for four years. After the Navy, he went on to finish his degree at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and received his degree in art and physics. He then worked at Trotter Ford as a painter and at Central Maloney as a plant supervisor. He opened up Wayne's Paint Shop alongside his wife for three years, where he specialized in murals on vehicles. After trying his hand as a car salesman, they moved to Florida in 1988. He was a car salesman and went to school to become a Charter Boat Captain. He enjoyed taking people out on his boat, Golly Whopper, for fishing and riding tours. Afterward, he opened a construction business, GW Company and Sons. In addition to his jobs, he was a Baptist Deacon in Florida and loved to play the organ, fishing, hunting, and competing in shooting tournaments. He retired in 2004 and moved back to Rock Springs, where he enjoyed working on guns. In 2021, Wayne and Teresa moved to Leslie to enjoy their retirement.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Tim Frasure.
Survivors include his wife Teresa Sullivan Frasure; a son, Andrew Frasure (Terri) of Leslie; three grandchildren, Bryson Frasure of Conway, Drew Frasure of Conway, and Ashton Woods of Fayetteville; a sister, Carol Frasure Breshears, and his beloved dog, Jake.
Graveside services will be Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Rock Springs Cemetery in Drew County, with Bro. Marty Reep officiating.
Pallbearers will be, Terri Frasure, Bryson Frasure, Billy Dowdy, Jason Harris, Pete Houston, Doug Sullivan, and Woodrow Cherry.
