Jay Houston Foster, 39, of Monticello, passed away Monday, October 2, 2023, surrounded by his family at his home. He was born October 28, 1983, in Hot Springs to Julia Estelle Burks Foster and Phillip Ray Foster.
Jay worked for Mr. Bug for many years. He was a graduate of Drew Central High School. He loved to do anything outdoors including fishing and horseback riding. He was also an avid hunter, especially when it came to hunting wild hogs. He was a Razorback fan even when they weren't doing their best. But most of all he loved his kids. They were his whole world and he made sure they always had what they needed.
Jay is preceded in death by his grandparents, Sgt. Maj. Clifford Martin Burks, Sr. and Julia Pauline Burks; and his uncle, Clifford Martin Burks, Jr.
He is survived by his children, Luke Houston Foster and Jaycie Nicole Foster; wife, Jamie Eason Foster; mother, Julia Foster; brother, Christopher Cody Foster (Susana); niece, Sophia Foster; uncle, Carl Burks (Debbie); two aunts, Paulette Burks and Deanie Coslin; cousins, Juddy Burks (Sharon) and Gabe Burks (Chassity); sister-in-law, Stephanie Eason; brother-in-law Cody Eason, best friend, Michael Cunningham, whom the family would like to give a special thanks for all his help to Jay; as well as a host of cousins, family, and friends.
A visitation to share your favorite memories of Jay will be held Monday, October 9, 2023, from 5-7 p.m. in the Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. A private burial will be held in Union Ridge Cemetery.
