Jerry Ross Logan, 88

Jerry Ross Logan, 88, of Monticello, went to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, May 22, 2023, at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. He was born March 28, 1935, in Tallahina, Okla., to the late Walter Desmond Logan and Ester Mae Wolfe Logan.
He was a retired school teacher, mechanic and ordained minister. Jerry was a multi-talented man that could do almost anything he set his mind to. He was a gifted mechanic, handyman, minister, television repairman and professional gospel singer that began when he was 15 years of age. 

Jerry loved to bass fish but his greatest love was his Lord and Savior along with being a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Walter Douglas Logan; two brothers, Walter Everett Logan and Charles Logan; and a sister, Ruth Logan.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary Clemons Logan of Monticello; three sons, Verlin Jerry Logan (Jeanette) of Bastrop, La., Wendell Ross Logan (Dottie) of Savannah, Tenn., and Kenneth Wayne Logan (Pam) of Yukon, Okla.; two brothers, Weldon Logan of Carson City, Nev. and Jimmy Lee Logan of Cottonwood, Calif.; thirteen grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2023, at First Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Justin Morphis officiating. There was a visitation from 12-2 p.m. at the church preceding the funeral service. Burial was in Enon Cemetery.
