John Stephen Jeter, 77, of Nashville, Tenn., passed away Sunday, October 1, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. John was born December 29, 1945, in Monticello to Ruby Elizabeth Jeter and John William Jeter.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Wallick Jeter, his daughter, Pam Hunter (Ben); his brother, Allen Jeter (Carla); grandsons Jacob and Will Hunt; nephew Brandon Jeter (Ashley); niece Allyson Wallace (Michael); 3 great nephews, 2 great nieces and a host of cousins.
John is preceded in death by his son, Jason Jeter, and his parents.
John graduated from Monticello High School and Harding College. He obtained his MBA from the University of Arkansas in 1968. John was a professor at Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma for 31 years.
