Karen Annette Boseman, 57

Karen Annette Boseman, 57, of Crossett, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024, in Little Rock. She was born on August 14,1966, to her parents, Harry Ferguson, Sr. and Mary Sue Forrest Ferguson, was a 1984 graduate of Crossett High School, and a cherished member of Mt. Pleasant Freewill Baptist Church.

Karen spent many years working as the office manager for Southern LP Gas before joining Ashley Chicot Electric, where she managed accounts receivables.

Her commitment to her faith was evident in every aspect of her life. She taught Children's church and Sunday School with passion, sang with a joyful heart, organized memorable Vacation Bible Schools, hosted warm- hearted baby and wedding showers, and skillfully managed the church's social media presence. Her church community held a special place in her heart, and she exemplified the spirit of service and compassion.

Beyond her church activities, Karen was an avid Arkansas Razorback sports fan and a master gardener whose green thumb brought beauty and life to everything she touched. She found joy in sewing, playing the piano, and singing, talents she shared generously with others. She was also a skilled bow hunter who loved the outdoors. Kayaking, riding roller coasters, vacationing with the kids, working out at the gym, and the cherished regular coffee dates with her friends were among her favorite pastimes.

Karen was a devoted wife and mother, and an exceptionally proud grandmother. She delighted in spending time with her grandchildren and she treasured every moment.

Known for her warm personality, Karen never met a stranger. She loved deeply and shared her boundless affection with everyone she knew. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcomed and valued, but most importantly, Karen’s life was anchored by her deep love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her faith was most certainly, the guiding force in her life.

She is preceded in death by her father, Harry Nathan Ferguson, Sr. “Papa Joe”.

She leaves behind her loving husband of twenty-four years, Keith Boseman; one daughter, Lindsey Baker (Seth) of Monticello; her mother, Mary Sue Ferguson of Crossett; and one brother, Nathan Ferguson, Jr. (Pam) of Possum Valley; along with sister and brother in-law, Karen and Joey Johnson of Crossett; two grandchildren, Kynslee and Luke Baker; her beloved fur-baby, Trudy; and a host of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces, and great-nephews who she adored.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, June 16, at the Mt. Pleasant Freewill Baptist Church, 308 Ashley Rd 95, Hamburg, with Bro. Justin Hewitt and Bro. Keith Boseman, officiating, followed by interment at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Medders Funeral Home of Crossett. Pallbearers are Steve Naff, Charlie Rice, Gary Fife, James Meeks, Doug Neal, and John Grady Richards. Honorary pallbearers are Pat Allison, Eddie Corder, Jim Burgess, Gene Roberts.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, June 15, at the church.
