The Drew Central Lady Pirates improved to 2-2 in 3A-8 Conference play with a win over Lakeside this past week.
The Lady Pirates would begin the week with a conference loss to McGehee, 52-29, at home.
With the loss to McGehee the Lady Pirates would fall to 1-2 in conference play
Against McGehee, the Lady Owls would get out to a double-digit lead in the first quarter, 18-7, with the Lady Pirates being more competitive in the second quarter with McGehee taking the quarter 10-7, and holding a 28-14 lead at the half.
After taking the third quarter 14-11, the Lady Pirates would only score two points in the fourth quarter with McGehee scoring 13.
Chloe Anderson led in scoring with 10 followed by Amari Lucas with eight and Kassidie Gilbert with six.
Bailey Chapman added four and Sayveiona Durden with one.
Against Lakeside, the Lady Pirates would outscore Lakeside in every quarter to take a 65-34 victory to improve to 2-2 in conference and are currently fourth position in the conference.
Amari Lucas would lead the way with 18 points followed by Chloe Anderson with 17.
Bailey Chapman added 13, Kassidie Gilbert with seven, Kalyiah Miller scoring five, Sayveiona Durden with three, and McKinzie Adcock with two points.
Drew Central will face DeWitt at home on January 19 with games beginning at 4:30 .
