Lady Pirates score combined 56 runs in double-header against Lakeside

The Drew Central Lady Pirates improved to 5-8 on the season with a pair of wins against the Lakeside Lady Beavers in Tuesday night's double-header. 

Originally scheduled for a home and away series, the game was postponed by weather and was rescheduled as a double-header with Lakeside being listed as the home team in one contest and the visitor in another with both games being held at the Drew Central Lady Pirates turf field. 

In game one, the Lady Pirates were the home team and  Amari Lucas would be a single short of hitting for the cycle as she hit a home run, a triple, and a double in the game. 

The Lady Pirates scored 17 runs in the first inning and eight in the second to take the 25-1 win.

In game two, the Lady Pirates would get an inside the park home run from Bailey Chapman with Drew Central scoring 31 runs in the contest to take a 31-0 win making their scoring total in the pair of games at 56.

The Lady Pirates will conclude their season on Friday, April 28, at the Lady Pirates turf fields hosting the DeWitt Lady Dragons. 

The Lady Pirates will honor their senior players with Baseball and softball with one ceremony beginning at 4 pm and the second at 4:30 pm at each of the Drew Central fields.
