Lynda Jasay Carey, 71, was born on April 10, 1952, to Louis and Peggy Harper Jasay in Monticello.
Today our loss is great, but we rejoice knowing she is free of pain and suffering and is in he presence of her Lord. To have known her was to love her. A friend to all and for that she had many.
Lynda attended the Assembly of God Church in Monticello and had been employed by Starko for 23 years as an office manager, before retiring.
Due to her illness, she had been living in Hot Springs for the past year. Her sister Karen helped with her daily needs.
Lynda is preceded in death by Mark Carey, the love of her life; her parents; and her grandmother, Ada Weatherford Harper.
She leaves behind her beloved son, Bryan Carey and the apple of her eye, grandson Kiptyn Carey of Lonoke. Her sisters, Brenda Anthoni and Pam Hall (Ron) of Pine Bluff, Karen Aurell (Greg) of Hot Springs, and Marianne Zeno of Lexington, Ky. She also leaves behind 10 nieces and nephews, and 16 great nieces and nephews that loved their LaLa.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 28, at Rock Springs Cemetery.
