The Monticello Advertising and Promotion Commission met June 27, 2022. Members in attendance were Michael Wigley, Glenda Nichols, Kim Patel, Shannon Herman, Annette Taylor and Al Peer. The meeting was called to order by Shannon Herman with Roll Call taken.
Shannon Herman presented the Minutes from the May 31 meeting. Shannon Herman made the motion approve with an amendment to remove the request to pay $44 to Lolli & Poppas Custom Woodwork and Crafts and specify that all invoices be paid from the festivals category seconded by Annette and the motion passed unanimously.
Kim Patel presented the Revenue Report. Kim Patel made a motion to accept the Revenue Report as presented, seconded by Michael Wigley and the motion passed unanimously.

Shannon Herman presented an update and overview for the Independence Day Celebration on July 2, 2022.
Welcome Signs Update
Shannon Herman discussed progress and need for 911 addresses for the 425 N and 278 W sign from Caleb Bryan to proceed with electrical accounts.
Administrative Assistant Updates
Shannon Herman presented update on last interviewed applicant and commission is prepared to offer a full time position of 40 hours including a benefits package at a annual rate of $32,000. A performance review would be conducted after one year to determine any adjustments.
SBC Christmas Lights
Shannon Herman presented that David Hamm with SBC Christmas lights reached out to discuss interest in additional lights. He also stated that a deposit will be required on 8/1/22 to ensure all pieces arrive on time.

Moving forward, the commission will meet on the fourth Monday of each month at 5:30pm.
