Pearl Lee Jackson Jones, 77, of Monticello, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2023, at her home in Monticello. She was born August 19, 1946, in Wilmar to the late Haywood Alonzo Jackson and Riler Phillips Jackson.
She was a retired cook at Ray’s Restaurant where she worked for many years. She also cooked for many deer camps and was also a gifted seamstress.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded by two brothers, Alonzo Lee and Charles Edward Jackson; and one sister, Norma Jean Neal.
She is survived by her children, Arlesia Green (Craig), Robert Jones, Jr. (LaShanna), Roderick Jones and Reginald Jones all of Monticello; two sisters, Thester Little and Maelene Harris (Johnnie); nine grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Martez Scott officiating. There will be a wake Friday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery.
