The Monticello High School and Monticello Junior Billies Cheerleaders attend National Cheerleaders Association Camp June 3-6 in Hot Springs.
The squads received superior ribbons for the evaluations, and earned a spirit stick every night.
The entire senior high team was nominated for All American Cheerleader, with Katie Standley, Mallory Steen-Hobbs, Maggie Fakouri, Lynley Fletcher, Ady Jacks, Addison Stafford, Peyton Colwell, Anne Alysse Harden, and Sidney Ballard being selected to the All American Team.
The senior high team won the Herkie team award voted on by other squads for spirit and leadership. Katie Standley, our team captain, was invited to tryout for NCA Staff.
The entire junior high team was nominated for All American Cheerleader, with Grace Ferguson and Joanie Jeffers being selected to the All American Team. Junior high won first place in the Band Chant and first place in the Game Day Cheer. They also won the Junior High Division of Top Gun Dance Competition.
