STOP program plants trees at Vera Lloyd

On Friday, December 8, the Shade Trees on Playgrounds (STOP) program planted trees on Vera Lloyd’s campus. These trees were planted after Vera Lloyd was one of the schools chosen by STOP.

The goal of STOP is to provide more shade in playground areas in hopes of reducing the risk of skin cancer in children.

Black Gum, Sycamore, Tulip Poplar, Nuttall Oak, and Shumard Oaks were planted across the campus with the assistance of the children at Vera Lloyd.
