Billies and Pirates announce 2025 Football Postseason honors

The Monticello Billies and Drew Central Pirates have announced the 2025 Postseason Football honors.

For the Drew Central Pirates that completed the most historic season in school history after finishing second in the 8-3A Conference and would host their first playoff game in school history.

The 2025 Pirates would win their opening round playoff contest for their first playoff win in school history, but would fall in the second round.

For the Pirates, their accomplishments did not go unnoticed as head coach Larry White would be selected as the 8-3A Conference Coach of the Year. 

The Pirates would have two All-State selections with Tre’Bennett Fuller who finished the season with 1,108 rushing yards with 19 touchdowns and 1,333 passing yards with 13 touchdowns.

Blake Chandler was also selected as All-State with 467 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns and also had seven interceptions with 12 pass breakups.

Tyviance Wormley would finish the season with 1,062 rushing yards with nine touchdowns earning All-Conference selection and an All-State Honorable Mention.

Joining Wormley as First Team All-Conference were Hunter Griffin, Zae Bullard, Rylan Harris, Cyrus Remley, and Cash McKee.

Second Team All-Conference selections were Jacks Johnson, Alex Pitts, Bernard Pitts, Nick Chapman, Jeremiah Bodiford, Tyon Woodard, and Jayden Jones.

The Monticello Billies would advance to the quarter-finals of the 8-4A State Playoffs for the second consecutive season and would also have two All-State honors with Joseph Accelus who finished the season with over 2,000 yards rushing. Accelus was also an Arkansas High School Prep Redzone Junior All-State selection and was the D3 Auto Sales MVP of the Week after rushing for over 400 yards in a come from behind win against Gravette in the second round of the playoffs. 

Joining Accelus as an All-State recipient was Gunner Hale.

Monticello had six All-Conference First Team selections with Aaden Franklin, Keilyn Green, Jackson Hines, Asher Lanehart, Rylan McDougald, and Jackson Rawls.

Rawls was also selected as an Arkansas High School Prep Redzone Junior All-State selection as well as being selected as an Arkansas High School Prep Redzone Top Tight End.

The Billies would also have three players selected as All-Conference Second Team members with Jon Luke Brotherton, Lucas Colwell, and Gavin Trotter all receiving postseason honors.
