The Drew Central Junior Pirates could not get anything going offensively on Thursday night hosting the Junior McGehee Owls.
Drew Central received the ball to begin the contest with a return of 13 yards by Tucker Barnes.
Runs by Jace Bunn and Ryder Birch would move the ball down to the McGehee 36 before turning the ball over on downs.
Barnes would recover a fumble to stop the McGehee possession, but the Owls would go up 2-0 after a safety on a punt.
Drew Central’s longest offensive play on the night would come in the third quarter when Birch would connect on a pass to Zion Miller for 31-yard gain but the Junior Pirates would move in the wrong direction to turn the ball over on downs.
McGehee scored their final touchdown of the contest in the fourth quarter and added a two-point conversion to put the game under the “Sportsmanship Rule” setting up the final score of 36-0.
The Junior Pirates will travel to Fordyce Thursday for a 7 pm kickoff.
