Blossoms set to wrap up 2026 season at home against Southern Nazarene

The University of Arkansas Blossoms return home for their final series of the 2026 season beginning with a double-header on Thursday. April 30, beginning at 2:30 pm.

The Blossoms are coming off a series sweep this past weekend on the road at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia with SAU taking all three games of the series.

SAU shut out the Blossoms in the first game of Thursday’s double-header 6-0 and would take Game Two 12-4 with the Blossoms scoring three runs in the top of the third inning after Jolie Bazan walked and Maddie Moore reached after being hit by a pitch.

Carleigh Deeds would double to score Bazan, and Madelyn Willard would double to score Moore and Deeds.

SAU would get two runs in the bottom of the third with UAM getting their final run of the contest on a Maddie Moore single that scored Lainey Tippen.

SAU would get two more runs in the bottom of the fifth and four in the bottom of the sixth for the 12-4 win.

Returning on Saturday for the final game of the series, SAU would get six runs in the bottom of the first inning and seven in the bottom of the fourth to shut out the Blossoms 13-0.

WIth the losses, the Blossoms fall to 14-32 overall and are 7-23 in Great American Conference play.

Coming into the final series of the year, the Blossoms face Southern Nazarene University who currently sits fifth in the regular season Great American Conference standings with a 27-25 overall record and a 17-15 record in the GAC.

The Blossoms are at the bottom of the conference standings along with Northwestern Oklahoma State University with both having 7-23 GAC records.

Game One of the double-header will be at 2:30 pm on Thursday with Game Two following Game One.

The Blossoms and UAM Athletics will honor their four graduating seniors on Thursday following the double-header on Thursday. 

The Blossoms will wrap up the 2026 season with a final contest on Friday, May 1, at 12 pm..
