Blossoms still looking for first conference win of the season after 67-57 loss to Golden Suns

After getting off to a good start to the 2025-26 season, the UAM Blossoms have now lost five consecutive contests to begin Great American Conference play.

The Blossoms were defeated by Oklahoma Baptist University at home 68-62 to begin conference play, followed by home losses to Southern Nazarene, 74-57, then #7 Harding, 86-64, a road loss to Ouachita Baptist University, 87-60, before returning to Steelman Fieldhouse on Thursday to host the Golden Suns from Arkansas Tech.

The Blossoms would score the first four points of the contest and the teams would exchange the lead in the first quarter several times before the Blossoms took a three-point lead at the end of the quarter. 

Arkansas Tech would hold the Blossoms to four points in the second quarter, outscoring the Blossoms 18-4 for a 30-19 lead at the half.

Tech would continue to lead the Blossoms in the third quarter, outscoring UAM 24-17 in the  quarter.

The Blossoms would battle back in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Golden Suns 24-17 in the quarter, but fell short by 10 points, 67-57, to lose their fifth consecutive contest.

The Blossoms fall to 5-6 overall and 0-5 in GAC play.

The Blossoms will return to action on January 3, 2026 at Henderson State at 1 pm.
