Blossoms still searching for first GAC win after home loss to Harding

The University of Arkansas at Monticello Cotton Blossoms Volleyball continues to look for their first win in the Great American Conference after falling at home to Harding on Thursday 3-0.

The Blossoms would start out strong in the first set, keeping the score close with Harding scoring the last three points of the set to take the set 25-16.

UAM started strong once more in the second set with Harding taking four straight points to increase their lead to 8-5 before a kill by Asaiah Littlefield ended the Bison run.

Harding would go on an eight score run to increase the lead to 22-9 with the run being halted by a kill by Jalen Scroggins. 

Harding would go on to take the set 25-11 to take a 2-0 lead.

Harding began the third set on a three score run before Mia Smalls ended the run with a kill.

The Blossoms pulled within one after a three score run with kills from Sophia Grubbs and Xaria Pearson. 

Grubbs and Person would also score on a block on an attack error.

Harding would go on an eight score run to take a 20-10 advantage before going on to take the set 25-14 and the contest 3-0.

With the loss the Blossoms fall to 3-20 on the season and will next take the court on the road at Ouachita Baptist at 6 pm on Thursday before returning to Steelman Fieldhouse for Senior Night on their final home game on Tuesday at 6 pm.
