The University of Arkansas at Monticello Blossoms and Weevils finished the week before Thanksgiving with a pair of non conference wins, with each team ending the week with 60 point victories over their opponents.
The Blossoms would begin the week on Monday, November 18, hosting Mission University.
The Blossoms would have four players reach double-digits in the contest with Bailey Harris leading the way with 25 points.
The Blossoms and the Lady Patriots would exchange the lead throughout the first quarter of play with there being five lead changes throughout the quarter.
The Lady Patriots would grab the final lead of the quarter on a three pointer by Cassidy Hambelton with 4:34 on the clock.
The Lady patriots would extend their lead to seven points, 25-18, by the end of the quarter.
The Lady Patriot lead would remain until 2:41 remaining in the half when the Blossoms would regain the lead by one on a three by Bailey Harris.
Mission would tie the game but UAM would retake the lead on a jumper by Ella Mask.
The Blossoms would take a one point, 40-39, lead at the break.
The Blossoms would never relinquish the lead for the remainder of the contest taking the 91-76 win.
Joining Harris in double-digits was Alyssa Batton with 16 and Alindsey Long and Camille Pritchord with 1o.
Kennedee Shelton added nine, Haliegh Crews and Cha’Myrean Ellis with six, Ella Mask with five, and Kelsey Blakemore with four.
Returning on Saturday against Arkansas Baptist, the Blossoms would get out to a 6-0 lead and would go omn to lead by seven points, 16-9, at the end of the quarter.
The Blossoms continued to add to their lead in the second quarter, closing the half leading the Lady Buffs by 21 points, 37-16.
The Blossoms continued to dominate the contest throughout the second half of the contest, recording a 60 point, 84-24 win.
Harris led the way with 13 with Ella Mask adding 11 and Cha’Myrean scoring 10.
The Blossoms will begin GAC play on the road December 3, travelling to Southern Nazarene.
The Weevils would also have two contests during the week with the first contest being on Tuesday, November 19, hosting Arkansas Baptist.
The Weevils would get 17 points from Harouna Sissoko as the Weevils would hold off Arkansas Baptist for a five point, 56-51, victory.
The two teams would go back and forth in the first half of play with UAM holding a six point, 27-21, lead at the final buzzer to end the half.
The Weevils would maintain their lead throughout the second half with Arkansas Baptist pulling within two points with 42 seconds remaining in the contest but the Weevils would hold off Arkansas Baptist for the 56-51 win.
Noah Thomas and Seth Granberry were second in scoring with nine points each followed by Alex Brogdon with seven.
Devin Davis added six, Jamir Turner scored four with Tadarius Jacobs and Caleb Carr each scoring two.
Returning on Saturday to host Ecclesia College, the contest would get out of hand early as the Weevils would open the contest by going on a 27-0 run before the scoring run was stopped by a three-pointer by Ahmad Raymond.
The Weevils would hold the Royals to just nine first half points, outscoring them 51-9 for a 42 point lead at the halftime break.
The Weevils would continue to add to their lead throughout the second half of play with the biggest lead coming with 40 seconds remaining in the contest on a layup by Javion Robinson to extend the lead to 66 points.
Ecclesia would add two free throws at the end of the contest to give the Weevils a 64 point, 94-30, victory to improve to 2-2 on the season.
The Weevils would have five players in double-digits with Jamir Turner scoring 18 with Noah Thomas, Seth Grandberry, Devin Davis, and Alex Brogdon each having 10 points.
Caleb Carr added nine, Tadarius Jacobs with eight, Joseph Frazier with seven, Harouna Sissoko with six, Bryson Hammond with four, and Javion Robinson with two.
Turner recorded 11 rebounds.
