Cassie Mae Watkins, 84, of Monticello, passed away Monday, October 2, 2023, at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. She was born August 22, 1939, in Parkdale to the late Edward Liggins and Beatrice Tate.
Mrs. Cassie was a retired seamstress and Home Health Aide who loved to fish and spend time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, David Watkins; two sisters, Catherine Williams and Rose Gaynor; and three brothers, L.C. Liggins, Charles Johnson and John Gaynor.
She is survived by her son, Henry Dale Williams, Jr. of Monticello; four grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; siblings, Wiley Kitchen, Versie Lee Bullock, Dorothy McClendon and Lewis Johnson; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, October 15, 2023, in Oakland Cemetery.
