Henderson State hands Blossoms their sixth consecutive loss

The University of Arkansas at Monticello Blossoms are still looking for their first win in Great American Conference play after dropping their sixth consecutive contest on the road on Saturday at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia.

The Blossoms entered Saturday’s contest with an overall record of 5-6 and a conference mark of 0-5 with Henderson State coming into the contest with a 6-2 overal and 3-2 record in conference play.

Henderson would get the first point sof the contest with UAM tying the contest at two on their possession. 

Henderson would lead for the remainder of the quarter, outscoring UAM by a single point, 14-13.

Henderson would increase their lead in the second quarter, with their largest lead of the half being 11 points at three different times in the quarter.

Henderson would lead the Blossoms by six points at the half, 27-21.

Returning from the break, Henderson would continue to lead the Blossoms with their largest lead being 20 points with 54 seconds remaining in the quarter.

Hendrson would enter the fourth quarter leading the Blossoms 48-29.

Henderson would continue to lead the Blossoms throughout the final quarter, out scoring UAM 28-12 in the fourth quarter to take the contest by 35 points, 76-41.

Alyssa Batton would lead the Blossoms in scoring with 13 points followed by Jenna Warren with six.

Brilynn Findley scored five, Alindsey Long and Harper Biley with four, Nicole Weaver with three, and Opal Hardy, Ella Hamlin, and Taleigha Ealy with two each.

The Blossoms will continue games on the road this week.
