The Monticello Lady Billies have won four straight contests since their only conference loss of the season to Star City back on April 4.
After bouncing back with a 20-9 win over Warren, the Lady Biiles would get their second 8-4A Conference win in a row against Crossett on the road.
After a lead off strikeout, Addi Frazer would draw a walk followed by a triple by Alaina Lyle to score Frazer.
After the second out of the inning, Bliss Becker would single to score the courtesy runner, Grace Ferguson.
Ashley Hales would connect on a two run homerun on the next at bat to give the Lady Billies a 4-0 lead.
Monticello would next score in the top of the fourth inning after Ashlynn Snow would reach base on an error that would score Halle Ross for a 5-0 lead.
Monticello would set up the run-rule victory in the top of the sixth inning.
Addi frazer led off the inning with a pop up to the shortstop of the first out of the inning followed by a double by Lyle.
Kiley Lane would connect for a single to score Grace Ferguson.
Becker would hit a double followed by a three-run home run by Hales to put the score at 9-3.
Macey Stell would walk followed by a single by Ross.
After the second out of the inning, Libby Kingston would single to score Stell and Ross for the 10-0 lead.
Alaina Lyle would get the Crossett batters out in order to end the game.
Monticello would face 5A Sheridan on Monday in a non conference contest with the Lady Billies coming out on top 8-3 and on Tuesday night, Monticello would travel to Hamburg to face the Lady Lions in their next conference contest.
The Lady Billies would score one run in the top of the first inning, four in the third, two in the fourth, one in the fifth, and eight runs in the top of the sixth inning to shut out the Lady Lions 16-0 behind a 10 strikeout, two hit performance by Alaina Lyle.
The Lady Billies will face Watson Chapel at home on Friday at 5 pm, before travelling to Star City on Tuesday, April 22, in a contest that could decide who will be the top seed in the 8-4A.
