For the Monticello Lady Billies, the 2025 Softball Season ended on Saturday, May 17, with a one run loss to Pea Ridge in the semi-finals of the 4A State Championship Tournament.
That was the end of the season for actual games being played on the field.
The 2025 Season would officially end on Thursday, May 22, at First Baptist Church in Monticello, the host site for the 2025 Softball Awards Banquet.
The ceremony would begin with an opening blessing of the dinner, followed by a catered meal before the awards ceremony began.
After the meal, Head Coach BJ Jackson would get the awards ceremony started, bring up assistant coaches Bailey Meche and Caleb Morgan to present the award recipients their awards after Coach Jackson called them to the awards table and explained the awards they would receive.
Receiving the first award of the night was Kameryn Rodriguez who served as a manager for the team this season. She would receive a One-Year Letterman Award as well as being a Scholar Athlete.
Rhyse Guthrie would also be recognized as a Scholar Athlete, One-Year Letterman, and was also given the Newcomer award.
Shelby Scott was an One-Year Letterman and Scholar Athlete.
Natalie Hardin was a One-Year Letterman and Scholar Athlete.
Mia Scogin was a One-Year Letterman and a Scholar Athlete.
Eden Green was a One Year Letterman, Scholar Athlete, and was also awarded the Newcomer award.
Emmie Chambers was a One-Year Letterman and a Scholar Athlete.
Halle Ross was a Two-Year Letterman, Scholar Athlete, and was given an award for Most Improved.
Allie Regalado was a Two-Year Letterman and a Scholar Athlete.
The next award recipient was selected out of several candidates from the Lady Billie squad that started the season with several players either out from injury, rehabbing, injuries, or had just made it back to begin the season.
Out of all the choices to choose from, Lilah Becker was selected as the 2025 Comeback Player of the Year and also a Two-Year Letterman.
Bliss Becker was a Two-Year Letterman, Scholar Athlete, All-Conference, Offensive award, Most Improved, and had 18 stolen bases on the season.
Maryjoy Jones was a Two-Year Letterman and a Scholar Athlete.
Macey Stell was All-Conference, Two-Year Letterman, Scholar Athlete, and was tied in walks for the season with 13.
Nora Rodriguez was awarded the Hustle Award, Two-Year Letterman, and was a Scholar Athlete.
Presley Wagner was given the Team Mom award, was a Three-Year Letterman, and a Scholar Athlete.
Libby Kingston was All-Conference, Two-Year Letterman, and a Scholar Athlete.
Kiley Lane was All-Conference, Three-Year Letterman, Scholar Athlete, and was tied with 13 walks on the season.
Ashley Hales was All-Conference, Scholar Athlete, and a Two-Year Letterman.
Addi Frazer was All-Conference, All-State, Scholar Athlete, Three-Year Letterman, and led the team with 32 RBI.
Ashlynn Snow was a Defensive Award recipient, Scholar Athlete and a Four-Year Letterman.
Skylar Burns was a Defensive Award recipient, Scholar Athlete, and a Four-Year Letterman.
Alaina Lyle was All-Conference, All-State, All-State Tournament Team, All-State Nominee, Big Bopper with 11 home runs, and finishes her career as a Lady Billie with 512 strikeouts.
The Lady Billie seniors, Lyle, Snow, and Burns were part of Lady Billie teams that went 84-18 over four seasons, winning four consecutive Conference Championships, and three consecutive 4A State Tournament appearances.
Coach Jackson closed the banquet by thanking his coaching staff, assistant coaches Bailey Meche, Caleb Morgan, Gary Pace, the parents for trusting him and the other coaches with their girls, and Mrs. Jackson for always being there during the season.
