The Monticello Lady Billies have started the 2025 season with a 2-1 overall record.
The Lady Billies would start the season at home, hosting the Rison Lady Wildcats on Monday, March 3.
The Lady Billies would get a split pitching performance from Addi Frazer and Alaina Lyle with Frazer throwing 2.1 innings allowing five hits with three runs, two earned, striking out four.
Lyle would pitch 2.2 innings allowing one hit with one run, striking out five.
The Lady Billies recorded 17 hits including doubles from Kiley Lane, Frazer, Bliss Becker, and two from Eden Greene and homeruns from Becker and Grace Ferguson in the 17-4 win.
Monticello would get their next win on the road at Stuttgart in a 14-2 win over the Lady Rice Birds.
The Lady Billies only loss thus far is a rain shortened affair against DeWitt on Saturday that had the Lady Dragon ahead 4-2 at the time of the called game.
The Lady Billies will travel to Sterlington, La for the Ouachita Invitation with the first contest on Friday at 3 pm.
