The Drew Central Lady Pirates would continue to add wins to their record with an opening round win over Maumelle and a second round win over Bauxite in the annual Commercial Bank Holiday Tournament held at Drew Central.
On Friday the Lady Pirates would get a three-point advantage at the end of the first quarter against Maumelle, 13-10 and would extend their lead to seven points at the half with a 27-20 lead at the break.
Maumelle would go on a 11-0 run in the third quarter to take a 31-30 lead with 2:22 remaining in the quarter but the Lady Pirates would score the final 11 points of the quarter to take a nine point, 40-31, lead into the fourth quarter.
Drew Central would put the game away in the fourth quarter as the Lady Pirates would hold Maumelle to three fourth quarter points, outscoring Maumelle 10-3 in the quarter to take the 50-34 victory to advance to the semi-final round.
Amari Lucas would lead the way on the scoreboard with 22 points, shooting 56% from beyond the three-point arch connecting on five of nine shots.
Lucas would also shoot over 50% from the field connecting on 8 of 15 for 53%.
Chloe Anderson also scored in double-digits with 14 points followed by Bailey Chapman with six and Alexis Woods with four.
KZ Gipson and Toni Fuller each scored two points.
The Lady Pirates would see Lucas and Anderson each score 16 points with Makayla Miller adding 13 in their second round contest against Bauxite.
Drew Central would defeat Bauxite for the second time this season with a 20 point, 63-43, win to push their winning streak to 11 consecutive contests.
The winning streak would come to an end however in the Commercial Bank Holiday Tournament final against White Hall.
The Lady Bulldogs would take the tournament championship with a 60-54 win.
The Lady Pirates are set to return in conference play on Friday, January 10, hosting Dumas.
