Lady Pirates improve to 16-4, 4-1 in 8-3A Conference play

The Drew Central Lady Pirates improved their overall record to 16-4 and their 8-3A Conference record to 4-1 after a dominant victory over the Lakeside Lady Beavers, winning every quarter with the exception of the third quarter, in a 59-26 win on the road at Lake Village.

Chloe Anderson would score 20 points in the contest to lead the Lady Pirates followed by Makayla Miller with eight points.

Bailey Chapman, Ryli Birch, and Alexis Woods scored six points each.

Caroline McRae added four, Peyton Withers with three, and Jolie Lloyd, McKinzie Adcock, and KZ Gipson rounded out the scoring with two points each.

On Tuesday, January 14, the Lady Pirates picked up a big road victory with a 55-38 win over the McGehee Lady Owls.

The Lady Pirates were led in scoring against McGehee by Amari Lucas with 16 points and Makayla Miller with 13.

The Lady Pirates would have a quick turn-a-round, having to come back home on Wednesday, January 15, to face the Dumas Lady Bobcats in what would turn out to be their first conference loss of the season.

Against Dumas, the Lady Pirates would fall behind 19-12 after the first quarter and would trail 37-21 at the half. 

The Lady Bobcats would continue to lead throughout the contest taking a 69-48 win.

Chloe Anderson led on the scoreboard for the Lady Pirates with 19 points followed by Amari Lucas with 10.
