The University of Arkansas at Monticello Boll Weevils dropped their fifth contest of the year on Saturday with a home loss to the Ouachita Baptist University Tigers in the annual Pink Out game.
UAM would win the toss and would defer to the second half.
Both teams would be forced to punt on their initial possessions with Ouachita getting on the scoreboard on their second drive of the first quarter to take a 7-0 lead.
The Tigers would add a second score early in the second quarter to increase their lead to 14-0.
On the first Weevil possession of the second quarter, the Weevils would cut the Ouachita lead to 14-7.
Tavion Faulk would complete a pass to Chasden Collins on the first play of the drive for 14 yards, but would lose yardage on the next play after being sacked.
After moving into Ouachita territory with two completed passes to Michael Lott and Ahmari Cox, the Weevils would get a one yard gain by Isaiah Broadway for a first down to the OBU 32.
Faulk’s next pass would be hauled in by Stran Smith who would complete the hard run for the 32-yard touchdown reception.
Charles Stinson added the extra point.
Ouachita would go on to score three more touchdowns and a field goal with UAM’s only other points coming in the third quarter on a successful 35-yard field goal by Stinson.
With the 45-10 final, the Weevils fall to 2-5 on the season with four games remaining on the 2025 schedule.
The Weevils will travel to Searcy, Arkansas on Saturday to face the #2 ranked Harding University Bison with a 2 pm kickoff scheduled.
Harding is currently undefeated with a 7-0 record.
