The University of Arkansas at Monticello Blossoms would host the Ouachita Baptist Tigers for a three-game series with the Blossoms taking game one on Thursday after scoring a run in the bottom of the first and third innings and two runs in the bottom of the fifth with the only Ouachita run coming in the top of the fourth inning with the Blossoms taking the game 4-1.
Returning for a double-header on Friday, Ouachita Baptist would take game one after going up 4-0 in the top of the first with UAM scoring five in the bottom of the inning.
Ouachita would add two runs in the top of the third inning and would hold on for the 6-5 win.
In game two, the Blossoms could not get much going offensively as the team recorded two hits in the contest with Ouachita Baptist scoring six runs, including two home runs, to take the shutout win over the Blossoms 6-0.
With the loss, UAM falls to 12-25 overall and 5-16 in the GAC.
UAM will host Southeastern beginning on Friday at 3 pm.
