The UAM Blossom’s have started the 2025-26 season with a 3-0 start marking the first time since the 2019-20 season that the Blossoms have won the first three games of the season.
Beginning the season on Friday, November 14, at the MIAA/GAC Challenge in Fort Smith, the Blossoms would get their first win of the season over the Arkansas-Fort Smith Lions with a 65-40 victory.
After taking the first quarter 20-17, the Blossoms would trail at the half 27-25.
The Blossoms would win the next two quarters 17-6 and 18-12 for the 65-40 win.
The Blossoms would return for their second contest of the Challenge on Saturday, November 15, playing as the home team against Newman College.
The Jets would take an 18-16 advantage after the first quarter of play and would lead the Blossoms at the half, 35-26, after taking the second quarter 17-10.
UAM would return from the halftime break to outscore the Jets in the third quarter 18-10 followed by outscoring the Jets 17-9 in the fourth to take the 61-54 win.
The Blossoms would return home to Steelman Fieldhouse for their home opener on Tuesday, November 18, hosting the Arkansas Baptist College Lady Buffalo.
Arkansas Baptist would take an early advantage over the Blossoms in the first quarter 13-9 but the Blossoms would return in the second quarter to outscore Arkansas Baptist 19-17 but would trail 30-28 at the half.
The Blossoms would outscore the Lady Buffalo in the third quarter 13-11 to head into the fourth quarter tied at 41.
In the fourth, the Blossoms had their largest offensive quarter of the contest, outscoring their opponent 25-11 to take the 66-52 win to improve to 3-0.
The Blossoms return home to Steelman Fieldhouse on Thursday, November 20, hosting Crowley’s Ridge at 5:30 pm with the Weevils set to take the court at 7 pm, hosting Arkansas Baptist.
