UAM Blossoms get series win at home over Southeastern Oklahoma

The University of Arkansas at Monticello Blossoms picked up their second series win of the season this past week with a series win over Southeastern Oklahoma State University at Alvy Early Field at Ryburn Park.

Starting with a double-header on Friday, the Blossoms would take a 2-1 lead after one inning of play. 

Kayla Olthouse would keep the Savage Storm scoreless in the top of the second before the Blossom added four runs in the bottom of the inning.

UAM would add two more runs in the contest for the 8-1 win.

In game two, the Blossoms would continue to keep their offense rolling, connecting for 14 hits in the contest.

UAM would score runs in every inning of the five inning contest.

The Blossoms would get two runs in each of the first four innings of play and would add four runs in the bottom of the fifth for the 12-4 win.

Returning on Saturday for the final game of the series, SEOSU would get out to a 4-0 lead but the Blossoms would come back to take a 5-4 lead through the fifth inning.

SEOSU would score a run in the top of the seventh and another in the eighth to take the 6-5 win.

The Blossoms will next be on the road in Ada, Oklahoma to face East Central University beginning on Friday.
