The University of Arkansas Boll Weevils would honor their senior class as well as celebrating Military Appreciation Day at Convoy Leslie Cotton Bowl Stadium on Saturday before the Weevils took the field for their final home contest of the 2025 season, hosting the Southwestern Oklahoma State University Bulldogs.
The Weevils entered the final home game of the season with a 2-6 record having lost their last three contests.
After the pregame activities, SWOSU would win the coin toss and would defer to the second half with the Weevils defending the south endzone.
Tommy Yousey would get off a 62-yard kick with UAM’s Chasden Colling taking the ball at the Weevil three for a 16 yard return to the Weevil 19.
Tavion Faulk’s first pass of the contest would be complete to AK Hazley for a 14-yard gain to the 33.
Faulk would scramble on the next two plays to pick up seven yards, but on the next play, Faulk's pass would be intercepted by Damion Dunn at the Bulldog 23.
The Bulldogs would capitalize on the turnover, scoring on 17 plays for 77 yards to take a 7-0 lead.
SWOSU would add a second score in the second quarter to take a 14-0 lead into the half.
SWOSU would receive the kick to begin the second half and would hold the ball for most of the quarter extending the lead to 21-0 heading into the fourth quarter.
The Bulldogs would get two more touchdowns to begin the fourth quarter to increase their lead to 35-0 before the Weevils would get on the board.
UAM’s only score of the contest would come with 9:38 remaining in the game on a nine-yard run by Jaylen Sulton with the extra-point being added by Charles Stinson to cut the lead to 35-7.
SWOSU would come back to score two more touchdowns in the fourth quarter to set up the 49-7 final.
With the loss, the Weevils losing streak extends to four games with their record falling to 2-7 on the season.
UAM will next travel to Alva, Oklahoma on Saturday, November 8, to face the Northwestern Oklahoma State University Rangers at 2 pm.
