Bettye Jane Murphy, 82, of Monticello, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at her home.
She was born January 13, 1941, in Hampton, to the late Horace Ivy and Georgie Ginn Ivy.
She was the widow of Norman Murphy, a retired secretary and homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
Survivors include her son, Douglas Murphy (Judy Brint-Murphy) of Sherwood; two sisters, Peggy Norman of Pine Bluff and Bobbie Rogers (Daniel) of Hampton; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; along with her fur babies.
Graveside services were at 2:30 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2023, at Union Ridge Cemetery. There was a visitation from 1-2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home preceding the graveside service. You can sign Mrs. Bettye's guestbook page at www.stephensondearman.com.
