Evelyn Lorice Mosley,  87, of Monticello, went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, May 18, 2024, at her home. She was born April 19, 1937, in Rison to the late Jimmy Earl Threlkeld and Dovie Jeanette Simmons Threlkeld.
She was the widow of Cecil Wilmer Mosley, a homemaker and member of Oak Grove Assembly of God Church. Mrs. Evelyn loved going to church and the Senior Citizens Center, reading, quilting, singing, fishing, cooking for her family and preparing for family get-togethers. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Douglas Paul Mosley; a grandson, Kenneth Earl Mosley, Jr.; two brothers, Clinton Threlkeld and Jimmy Morgan Threlkeld; and one sister, Barbara Ann Bussell.
Evelyn is survived by five sons, Edward Mosley (Kathy) of White Hall, Cecil Mosley  (Robin) of Sheridan, Danny Mosley (Patricia) of Rison, Joe Mosley (Debbie) of Woodlawn and Kenneth Earl Mosley of Monticello; three daughters, Deon Wells (Alvin) of Dermott, Sharon Williams (Carroll) of Fordyce, and Dovie Pulley of Monticello; one loving sister, Gladys Smith of Warren; eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at  1 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Earnest Cemetery in Hampton. There was a visitation Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
