Lady Billies remain undefeated heading into Spring Break

The Monticello Lady Billies remained perfect so far on the season before entering the Spring Break period.

The Lady Billies improved to 10-0 after traveling to Hope, Arkansas to participate in the DMAC Tournament that began on Friday, March 15, with the Lady Billies taking on Fouke in the Middle Bracket of the tournament.

The Lady Billies would score three runs in the bottom of the first inning and get four runs in the bottom of the second for the 7-0 win.

Addi Frazer would pitch the complete game recording 10 strikeouts. 

Returning for two games in rainy conditions on Saturday, the Lady Billies would get three home runs in the top of the first inning with Frazer hitting two home runs in the inning and a home run by Libby Kingston to give the Lady Billies a nine run inning against Murfreesboro.

Monticello would add another run in the top of the second inning on a double by Madeline Stanley to set up the 10-0 win.

Alaina Lyle and Macey Stell would combine for 10 strikeouts and one hit from the circle.

The Lady Billies would take the Middle Bracket Championship in a weather shortened contest over Genoa Central in the Saturday final. 

Monticello would score three runs in the bottom of the inning and one in the second in the two inning game for the 4-2 win.

Monticello will host Crossett on Tuesday, March 26, with the first pitch at 5 pm.
