The Monticello Lady Billies returned from Spring Break to begin 8-4A Conference play on Tuesday, March 26, hosting the Star City Lady Bulldogs at Hyatt Field.
The Lady Billies defense would hold Star City scoreless in the contest.
The Lady Billies would get two goals in the contest by Sally Perex and Terrionna Lambert to give the Lady Billies their first win on the season with the 2-0 victory.
The Lady Billies would return to Hyatt Field on Thursday, March 28, hosting the Stuttgart Lady Ricebirds who had defeated the Lady Billies in a non conference contest before Spring Break on March 11 by a score of 6-1.
Both teams would have scoring opportunities in the first half of play, but both goalkeepers were able to keep the ball out of the goal with the teams heading into the halftime break tied 0-0.
In the second half, Stuttgart would get the first goal of the contest around the 18 minute mark of the second half to take the 1-0 lead.
A few minutes later, Monticello would tie the contest with a goal by Sally Perez.
It would be the final goal of the contest with the contest ending in a 1-1 tie.
Monticello would get another conference tie on Tuesday, travelling to Crossett where neither team would score, setting up the 0-0 tie.
